Fort Richardson Landfill Gas Cogeneration Project
Redhorse is supporting development of the landfill gas cogeneration project at Fort Richardson, Alaska. We are providing technical and management support to assess beneficial use of the landfill gas. The project would provide 3.2 megawatts (MW) (by 2012) to 6.4 MW (by 2032) of renewable energy produced by generators housed in a power plant on Army land adjacent to the landfill. Redhorse updated the draft Pro Forma for the 20-year contract necessary to calculate the price that a third-party developer could pay the Army for the gas and to calculate the potential economic benefit to the Army.
