Gila River Indian Community (GRIC), Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG), Energy Audit Training and Capacity Building
Redhorse is working with GRIC to train community members to improve environmental awareness, conduct water and energy audits, and enhance sustainable business practices and operations at the community’s government, commercial, and residential facilities. Redhorse is helping to develop a strategic energy and sustainability plan and to establish an on-going sustainability program. The strategic plan will integrate environmental, energy, and transportation activities and initiatives into a comprehensive strategy. Key to implementation of this strategy is training community members on the components of the sustainability strategy, understanding the process for implementing water and energy audits, and tracking results. Redhorse is also supporting development of photovoltaic, energy efficiency, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) buildings, and other clean energy initiatives for the community.
