Air Force Base-Wide Energy Audits

Redhorse provided engineering, project development, and economic analysis for base-wide energy audits at Ramstein Air Base, Royal Air Force (RAF) Croughton, and Aviano Air Base.  The base-wide audits included more than 400 buildings and 7.3 million square feet of facilities, including office, commercial, residential, warehouse, recreational, medical, hangar, and maintenance buildings.  Detailed energy audits were conducted at each installation to identify energy saving processes, procedures, and energy projects for subsequent project prioritization and programming.  Auditing included planning, baselining energy consumption, site inspection, data evaluation and analysis, energy modeling, and development of energy conservation measures.  Redhorse also conducted life-cycle cost analysis and calculated savings to investment ratios for programming and future implementation by the Air Force for energy conservation measures with a capital cost of more than $100,000.
