Limited Analysis of the Federal Climate Change Market for Det Norske Veritas Certification, Inc. (DNV)

Redhorse conducted a limited analysis of climate change opportunities with the federal government for DNV.  The analysis provided an overview of market trends as well as specific agency needs that represent the climate change opportunities within the federal government.  The scope of the analysis focused on three strategic areas: (1) adaptation — addressing decision making and planning for the impacts and risks associated with climate change; (2) mitigation — including energy efficiency, renewable energy, and biofuels opportunities; and (3) GHG asset management — including verifying and validating GHG emission inventories and offset opportunities.  The analysis outlined market drivers, provided an overview of opportunities within the federal government, and presented specific agency opportunities for climate change.  Redhorse also provided recommendations for how DNV can successfully enter the federal market, including contract vehicles, strategic partnerships, and actions to increase DNV’s visibility in the federal marketplace.
