Hawthorne Army Depot - Class I Air Permit Modifications and Compliance Support
Redhorse provided environmental management services to the Hawthorne Army Ammunition Depot in support of environmental and air permitting and compliance at the depot, including revision of the comprehensive emission inventory for the Main Base operation.Redhorse conducted detailed geographic information system (GIS) mapping of emission sources to support a Class I air permit application.Results from atmospheric dispersion models were post-processed with modeling results for open burning operations using the Open Burn Open Detonation (OBODM) dispersion model and were integrated in the GIS mapping platform to verify compliance with ambient air quality standards.Using this information, Redhorse was able to establish an accurate geo-referenced map for the entire Main Base and proposed modifications to both demilitarization and related Main Base operation that are contained in the Class I operating permit.We prepared a number of applications for new and modified processes at the Main Base.
