Confidential Utility Client - Permitting Support

 In support of a major utility, Redhorse investigated air quality impacts and prepared subsequent permit applications for generating facilities throughout Nevada. Our permitting-related work included renewal of the Class I operating permits, permit modifications, preparation of emission inventories and detailed calculations, and review of emission factors for fine particle (PM₁₀ and PM_2.5) emissions.We also evaluated optionsto lower the emission rates and prepared screening-level and multi-year regulatory modeling using AERMOD to assess potential impacts to the ambient air quality standards and prevention of significant deterioration (PSD) increments for sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, PM₁₀, and PM_2.5. Finally, we compiled an Environmental Evaluation as required under the Nevada Administrative Code and conducted New Source Review (NSR) applicability for submittal to the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection–Bureau of Air Pollution Control (NDEP-BAPC).
