Redhorse Corporation Awarded GSA Schedule 899 to Provide Environmental Services to the Federal Government and Other Authorized Users.
Redhorse was awarded contract GS-10F-0218X under GSA Schedule 899 for Environmental Services. The contract was awarded with a base period of 5 years and three 5 year option periods. The schedule provides Redhorse a long-term contract vehicle to deliver a broad spectrum of environmental services including environmental management and pollution prevention support, compliance assistance, obtaining environmental permits, revitalization of contaminated properties, and training to any agency of the federal government as well as other authorized customers such as the United Nations, International Bank of Reconstruction and Development (World Bank), Tribal Nations, The Presidio Trust, etc. Awarded special item numbers (SINs) include:

- SIN 899 3 ─ Environmental Training Services
- SIN 899 7 ─ Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Services

Redhorse will provide expert advice, assistance, guidance and consulting in support of agencies’ environmental needs. This may include investigations, studies, data collection, modeling and analysis, and reporting. The schedule award aligns Redhorse’s core expertise providing comprehensive environmental services to federal agencies with a direct and easy to use acquisition vehicle. The Environmental Services Schedule further complements Redhorse’s energy, water, and carbon management services to provide customers with an integrated approach to their sustainability, resource conservation, compliance, and business needs.

Redhorse Corporation Awarded Contract with Marine Corps Base (MCB) Hawaii to Provide Resource Efficiency Management (REM) Services
Redhorse Corporation has been awarded a contract with MCB Hawaii to provide REM services in support of the base’s Energy and Utilities Management Programs. The contract provides for a base year and two, one year options. Redhorse will provide comprehensive energy management services to build and maintain effective programs to meet MCB Hawaii’s goals for energy and water efficiency and renewable energy. The scope of support includes (1) identification and implementation of easily attained cost saving initiatives in energy, water, and resource conservation, (2) development of energy, water, and resource conservation projects to reduce costs, (3) evaluation of technical and economic feasibility of energy and resource conservation projects using federal standard practices, and (4) support of energy and resource conservation awareness programs. REM services performed under this contract will comply with and support national policies regarding energy and water efficiency and renewable energy, including the Energy Policy Act of 2005, the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, Executive Orders 13514 and 13423, as well as related policies of the Department of the Navy, Marine Corps, and MCB Hawaii.

Redhorse Corporation Awarded Advanced Metering Infrastructure Communications and Engineering Support at Nine Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest Installations
Redhorse Corporation has been awarded a contract with American Systems Inc. to provide communications and engineering service in support of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) program at nine Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest installations. The AMI program involves installation of smart meters for electricity, gas, water, steam, and other utilities to better control these consumables and to comply with the Energy Policy Act of 2005. Meters are being installed at Navy and Marine Corps installations, including Naval Base Coronado, Naval Base San Diego, Naval Base Point Loma, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, Naval Air Station Lemoore, Naval Air Station Fallon, Naval Air Facility El Centro, and Naval Post Graduate School Monterey. Redhorse is providing communications engineering support for the AMI systems at all nine installations, including testing the network as it is built for throughput, hop count, and interference, as well as overall network improvements.

Mike Rimmer, Senior Communications Systems Architect Joins Redhorse
Redhorse Corporation is proud to announce that Mike Rimmer has joined Redhorse as a Senior Communications Systems Architect. Mr. Rimmer brings with him more than 27 years of experience as a communications and information systems professional specializing in communications systems engineering, electronic warfare, and intelligence. He has extensive knowledge of and experience with experimental wireless communications, digitization of command and control systems, integration of disparate systems, and development, testing and implementation of novel solutions to long-standing communications issues. Mr. Rimmer, who will be responsible for accelerating the growth of the Communications and Information Systems Practice, earned his master's degree in maritime technology (operations) from Kingston University in the United Kingdom and his bachelor’s degree from the Britannia Royal Naval College in the United Kingdom. Since he retired from the Royal Navy in 2004, Mr. Rimmer has been engaged in several high-profile programs as a program manager, providing technical and managerial oversight on behalf of the Office of Naval Research, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Electric Power Research Institute.

Redhorse Corporation Awarded 3 Year Contract with the State of Nevada, Division of Environmental Protection, to Update the Prevention of Significant Deterioration Increment Tracking System.
Redhorse Corporation has been awarded a 3 year IDIQ contract with the State of Nevada, Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP), Bureau of Air Quality Planning to provide air quality, modeling, geographic information system (GIS), and regulatory expertise. Redhorse is updating NDEP’s Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) increment tracking system to help the state manage air emissions to prevent deterioration of air quality, maintain compliance with national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS), and effectively manage and plan for growth. Redhorse is updating emission data sources and data quality as well as the usability and flexibility of the tool to more effectively meet current and future regulatory, compliance, and planning needs. Redhorse is also collecting and processing inventory data, analyzing and modeling meteorological and emissions data, developing Fortran code for post-processing model output for base and current emission sources, and preparing quarterly and annual reports.

Redhorse Corporation Awarded Expanded Basic Ordering Agreement with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory
Redhorse Corporation has been awarded a basic ordering agreement (BOA) from Battelle Memorial Institute to provide building energy systems, SmartGrid, information technology management, greenhouse gas emission, and environmental compliance services to the Department of Energy, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). These new technical areas augment and expand the technical analysis and research associated with energy management and renewable energy, building energy systems, and water management provided by Redhorse for the past year and a half. With the new award, the BOA ordering period was also extended through December 31, 2011.

Redhorse Corporation Awarded Regional Resource Efficiency Management Program Contract with the U.S. Coast Guard
Redhorse has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Coast Guard to provide energy experts to develop and implement comprehensive energy program management activities under the U.S. Coast Guard Eastern Region Resource Efficiency Management (REM) program. Redhorse is providing region-wide energy program support across multiple facilities and installations and is serving as a champion and resource to drive results, provide expertise, and help ensure successful implementation of U.S. Coast Guard initiatives. Redhorse is working with the U.S. Coast Guard energy team, building occupants, operations and maintenance personnel, and other stakeholders to help develop, implement, and lead projects and programs to reduce energy consumption, improve operations, save money, and help the environment. Redhorse is also helping the Coast Guard meet the requirements of the Energy Policy Act, the Energy Independence and Security Act, Executive Orders 13423 and 13514, and U.S. Coast Guard energy instructions and policies.

Redhorse Corporation Selected as a Qualified Retrocommissioning Provider by PECI
Redhorse has been selected as a qualified retrocommissioning provider by PECI. This designation demonstrates Redhorse’s capability and experience identifying operational-type energy savings opportunities and assisting owners and building staff with implementation and verification of retrocommissioning measures. It also allows firms using Redhorse’s retrocommissioning services to qualify for incentives under utility incentive programs administered by PECI.
